@aishatuh.m: We often think that if Allah is angry with us, He will take things away. Our health. Our money. Our jobs. Our children. The things we love. But sometimes, we forget to fear losing something far greater: the ability to worship Him. To wake up and still want to pray. To open the Qur’an and still feel drawn to it. To make dhikr. To make du’a. To feel the need to return to Allah again and again. These are not things we should ever feel entitled to. They are rahmah. Because every act of ibadah we are able to do is a gift from Allah. We are not doing Allah a favour by praying, reading Qur’an or remembering Him. We are doing ourselves a favour. Allah is not in need of our worship. We are the ones in need of Him. So perhaps one of the scariest things is not losing the things of this dunya, but losing the desire to return to Allah. May Allah never make us people who have everything in this life but lose our connection with Him. And may He always keep our hearts attached to Him, our tongues remembering Him, and our feet returning to prayer. Ameen.
