Why do parents think we WANT to send them emails about their kids misbehaving . I would rather go home at the end of the day than to write out how your child cannot behave even after trying to manage it 1 on 1 with the student. 4 times a week means that teacher was likely going crazy.

I get wanting to protect your younger kid because sometimes teachers really do go into relationships with younger siblings with massive prejudice from the behaviour of the older kid but thats not whats happening here, shes trying to protect herself from being as she perceives it hassled by her kids teachers over their behaviour

Im gonna be straight up and honest… I have a problematic kid. I get emailed maybe once a quarter. Four times a week is reflective of the parenting AND the child.

Mind you, the mom didn’t specify exactly what the issue was that the teacher was reaching out about. And I feel like a teacher emailing a parent wanting to discuss their kid is a good thing, wouldn’t you want to be hands on in your kids learning and work with their educator?

Here I felt bad demanding my youngest not be put with their older brother's teacher who refused to learn my kid's name. She spelled it wrong all year on purpose, called him by the wrong name she spelled, and submitted his name WRONG on state tests. Then asked me why it was so important, bc its his NAME!! Also, it's a common name with a common spelling.

This is really judgy for no reason. If your kid is a little difficult but has gotten along well enough with other teachers then it's reasonable to advocate that your child gets placed with a teacher they'll do better with.
