@bethvirtually: Part 1: Before Everything Changed Many people know pieces of my story, but if you’re new here… this was actually my life in 2021. Every morning, I clocked into a toxic call center already mentally exhausted. Back-to-back calls. Watching the clock. Counting down the minutes until my next break… and wondering how I was going to keep doing this every single day. In between calls, I’d be on Indeed applying to job after job, hoping somebody—ANYBODY—would give me a way out. Then lunch would come… but by the time I left, got my food, and finally made it to the break room, somehow my break was basically already over. 😩 And while I was sitting there trying to eat, I’d check my phone just to see another rejection email from one of the jobs I had applied to. “Unfortunately, we’ve decided to move forward with other candidates…” Then I’d clock back in and do it all over again. When I got home, I complained about that job to my best friend or honestly, anybody willing to listen. 😂 I was miserable, mentally drained, and tired of feeling like my life revolved around a job I hated. Until one night… I was lying in bed scrolling on TikTok when I came across something I had never really considered before: Virtual Assistant. And for the first time in a long time, I felt this tiny glimmer of hope. I didn’t know where it would lead me. I didn’t know what I was doing yet. I just knew one thing… Something had to change.
