Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur (1483–1530) was a brilliant military commander, poet, and statesman who founded the Mughal Empire in South Asia. Beyond his conquests, Babur was a deeply cultured polymath who wrote the Baburnama, a famously candid, world-renowned prose autobiography. Abdulla Qodiriy (1894–1938) was a monumental writer and satirist recognized as the founder of the Uzbek novel genre.
