I would never abuse you in ways that were OBVIOUS. I’d make my control look like love and your reactions look like the problem. Im actually not a narcissist but this is straight from the narcissist’s playbook. Read how the trap actually gets built. 1️⃣ First, I’d study you Your fears. Your wounds. Everything you ever wanted from love and never got. You’d think we were falling in love. I’d be taking NOTES. 2️⃣ Then I’d become exactly who you needed Attentive. Gentle. Safe. Safer than you’d ever felt in your life. That feeling would become the drug, and I’d be the only dealer in town. 3️⃣ Once you trusted me, I’d slowly change The affection would dry up. The criticism would start. But only behind closed doors. In public I’d stay charming, so nobody would ever believe you. 4️⃣ I’d dress control up as concern Question your outfit. Your friends. Your decisions. “I’m just looking out for you.” Until you stopped trusting your own judgment and started outsourcing it to ME. 5️⃣ When you confronted me, I’d rewrite reality “That never happened.” “You’re too sensitive.” “You always do this.” You’d walk in with evidence and walk out apologizing. 6️⃣ I’d punish you for speaking up Silence. Coldness. Days of it. Just enough pain that you’d learn bringing things up costs more than swallowing them. 7️⃣ And when you finally pulled away, I’d become loving again Not because I changed. Because I felt you slipping. The person from the beginning would show back up just long enough to reel you back in. Then the cycle restarts. Eventually you’d be anxious, exhausted, and working overtime for crumbs of the love I handed out for free in month one. And you’d blame YOURSELF for the downgrade. That’s covert abuse. It doesn’t always leave bruises. Sometimes it just leaves you unable to recognize the person in the mirror. How can I heal if I don’t know what cut me. Share this. Somebody you love is in step 4 right now and thinks it’s concern. If you just read your own story and you’re done being trapped in it, message me FREEDOM and I’ll show you the blueprint to escape. It is NOT your fault! #Love #narcissist #traumabond #viral #explore
