Man the people in these comments are so so uneducated it’s insane. I’m almost 35 week spregnant. They’ve done a heart Doppler at every single OB appointment I’ve had. Heart rate tells us a lot of things about babies. Why would it be unsafe to use a Doppler?? No there’s no radiation. Leave this mama alone ffs 😭

I did this every night until I could start feeling him kick and now I get the reassurance he’s okay from that… sometimes I still check his heartbeat though

There is nothing wrong with this device. The only thing that can go “wrong” is giving you false hope the baby is alive when it could not actually be. (you could be listening to an artery or your own heart beat and not know) you would know if you’re at risk of having a not alive baby in you though because your doctor would catch it before you most likely. There is nothing wrong or dangerous about this, it just is not 100% accurate. I use mine all the time, but it is not medical care if you’re worried about something specifically you still need to go to the hospital.
