as dysphoria-inducing as it is to lack the ability to get someone pregnant, i’m continually so grateful that pregnancy isn’t a risk for my girlfriend and i. that peace of mind is worth the dysphoria, in my opinion. if we ever decide to bring children into our lives, we’ve talked a lot about fostering or adopting. i couldn’t agree more that the storage fees are just not worth it.

Similar experience for me as a trans girl! & I personally don’t want to get off of hormones for a biological child because I don’t want the years of progress from estrogen feminization changes to be reversed

same as a trans girl i wont go off hrt to do all that id rather just adopt or other possible routes depending on my future partner i do really want children in the future but i dont wanna put myself thu the process of having biological children

I didn't do it bc I don't want to legally be the childs mother. Legally or biologically. It's very dysphoria inducing. I was adopted so adopting and fostering is not an issue and thankfully my gf now doesn't mind either

Since I was a little kid I’ve known that if I wanted to have children (which I’m thinking I might not) I would adopt. Childbirth freaked me out

I was off T and got pregnant a day before my birthday and personally went thru a abortion and it was the best decision I’ve ever made

Working at a fertility clinic has put so much of this stuff into perspective— massive kudos to the trans people who do fertility preservation but you’re exactly right: it’s super hard work and isn’t just a one and done situation all the time!!!
