so heres my Interpretation of the movie: One quote which appears in the backrooms movie suggests: "the more it remembers, the more it forgets". This is a complex and very mysterious quote. I have found a perfect way to Interpret it using my very own words. So I have found an Abstract parallel to these liminal Office rooms, which is Alzheimers. It may Sound Like there is absolutely no paralells in First place, however the First clue is already Hidden in the quote which is the word forget. Dementia in specific Alzheimers is a condition which triggers an irreversible Degradation of the neural Networks which are Contained in Our brain. Symptoms worsen in an increasingly fast Manner rather than linearly. The victim will experience severe Memory loss as the condition progresses, in early stages it may Not be directly noticable and therefore a Diagnosis may Not follow. However, once we enter Stage 3 noticably different behavioural patterns start occuring. The Patient Starts forgetting more meaningful Events which have Taken place in His/her Life. Now this is Not my Point, but another hint could be the fact that Kane Parsons (director) is a huge fan of the caretaker who composed the Album everywhere at the end of time, consequently He included the track B1 "All that follows is true" in the movie. Besides that my Main Argument lies in the architecture of the backrooms, as it doesnt follow any Rules at all and may be perceived as chaotic therefore. The entities are a Mix of living creatures combined with a very foggy Memory of how a human Looks Like for instance. It's almost Like having the Memory of a Memory which took place Long ago. It is a Well known fact that Our Memory isnt 100% reliable philosophically speaking and Oftentimes we tend to refresh that instance by remembering. For Patients with Dementia this process may suffer from a Strong amplication, thus on some occasions memories can also be Made up from Scratch Just to fit the Missing Puzzle piece (false Memory Syndrome). If we Take a Look at how empty the backrooms really are (regarding the average distribution of Furniture for instance), WE realize that the quote really may be true. Lets Take a book shelve fo
