DANGME UNITY SPEECH BY HRM NƐNƐ SAKITE II, KONOR OF MANYA KLO (KROBO) DANGME FESTIVALS SEASON: GBUGBLA (PRAMPRAM) HOMOWO FESTIVAL 2026 – GRAND DURBAR In the video, we witness a Dangme Unity speech by the Chairman of the Occasion, HRM Nɛnɛ Sakite II, President of the Eastern Regional House of Chiefs, Konor of the Manya Klo (Krobo) Traditional Area, and President of the Manya Klo (Krobo) Traditional Council. The presence and participation of the Konor of Manya Klo (Krobo) at the Gbugbla (Prampram) Homowo Grand Durbar reflect the importance of unity and solidarity among the Dangme people. The nine Dangme Traditional Areas are spread across three regions of Ghana. Occasions such as this provide an important opportunity for our traditional leaders and people to come together, celebrate one another, strengthen relationships, and promote our shared cultural heritage. This is significant. Dangme Unity is a must. The unity of the nine Dangme Traditional Areas—Ada; Agɔtsom (Agotime); Gbugbla (Prampram); Kpone; Manya Klo (Krobo); Nugo (Ningo); Osudoku; Sɛ (Shai); and Yilo Klo (Krobo)—remains an important vision for the future of our people. This is also what the Dangme Social Media Platforms team and its Founder stand for and continue to promote: unity, cultural preservation, mutual respect, and stronger connections among all Dangme people across the three regions of Ghana. The 2026 Gbugbla (Prampram) Homowo Grand Durbar, held on Saturday, 29 August 2026, at the Prampram Anglican Park, brought together traditional leaders, citizens, guests, and members of the diaspora to celebrate the rich culture and heritage of the people. Royalty and Pageantry Led by HRM Nɛnɛ Tetteh Wakah III, Paramount Chief of Prampram Traditional Area, chiefs and queen mothers gathered in magnificent traditional regalia, displaying the richness, dignity, and beauty of Dangme culture. Hooting at Hunger The word Homowo means “hooting at hunger.” The festival commemorates the historical triumph and resilience of the ancestors who overcame famine and hunger. Unity, Peace and Development Beyond the cultural celebrations, the Grand Durbar brought people together in the spirit of peace, unity, collaboration, and development. Dangme Unity is a must. Together, the nine Dangme Traditional Areas can continue to preserve, promote, and strengthen our shared heritage for future generations. Dangme Festivals Season continues. #DangmeFestivalsSeason #PrampramHomowo2026 #GbugblaHomowo2026 #GrandDurbar #DangmeHomowo
