UPDATE: a cool dude used his pump to clear most of the water out. I just bailed out a bunch of water using buckets, and this drain is a lot smaller than I thought. It is not a catch basin, just a small hole with a drain at the bottom. Definitely a problem downstream. The pond is currently gone but it will come back next rainfall. Any ideas, I'm all ears.

hey a tool we use at the waste water plant is a t pole with a rubber circle at the end between two washers. it hand built from hardware store and works great as a pipe plunger

Hey! I rebuild those grapples for the DEP. if the clog is down stream unfortunately a plumbing snake or rooter won’t be able to break up the mud. It’ll probably need to be jetted

The manhattan community board in this area is community board 3 The council member for this neighborhood name is Christopher Marde. REACH OUT TO HIM he is appointed to take care of the neighborhood for a reason , ATTEND COMMUNITY BOARD MEETINGS speak your concerns !!
