Video from the scene shows demonstrators running as police move in with water cannons. Reuters was able to independently verify the location with the road layout, the outline and position of the buildings that matched the file and satellite imagery of the area.  Reuters was able to independently verify the date with the original file metadata from the source. Thousands of Kenyans took to the streets to commemorate last year's demonstrations, in which more than 60 people died.
