Fr. That’s why I can’t stand when people say stuff like women shouldn’t work or talk about not working. Black women have always work!

Don’t forget women also had a huge amount of anxiety and depression many turned to milltown pills to cope. Not to mention many drs did not treat women’s mental health the same as men😢

Please note, a lot of black women didnt willingly do domestic work. There were literal laws in place that FORCED them to work and leave their families to care for white ones.

And thats why I can’t stand when people say things like “yall have the same opportunities as everyone” when we literally couldnt do things that builds generational wealth!

I just want to say I am NOT playing devils advocate, but for white women there was also a lot of infidelity, drug abuse, marital 🍇, DV, on the other hand, they had maids. lol the video literally talks about black women doing domestic jobs. Well who do we think they were doing it for? In other words, throughout history it always sucked to be a woman and sucked worse to be a black woman. But I also don’t think all the white wives were safe or even happy.

No genuinely that’s why when people say like “I was born in the wrong generation” or they “ would rather live in X generation.” I alway wonder how I would be treated as a brown woman during that same time period- cause they never think about it like that 😭

This is a true history video! Such a great way to showcase that America was only great back then depending on your race, location and income. Great job 👏

So whether a white woman OR a black one, it was just survival!! And in 2026, we’re all collectively realizing that separating from that entire dynamic is actually the dream! Freedom to do, come, and go as we please! Not beholden to the demands and misery of an oppressive society.
