Hello everyone, please help me share this post. I am originally from Cebu and was one of the passengers on the Philippine Airlines flight RP-C8619 (seat 56A) on April 19 from Dumaguete to Manila. From the moment we boarded, something already felt wrong. The air conditioning was not working throughout the entire cabin. Passengers kept asking the crew, but we were told to wait as it would start soon. Even after takeoff, nothing changed. As we climbed higher, the situation became worse. The heat inside the cabin was unbearable. Passengers were sweating heavily, some were close to fainting, children were crying, and even elderly and a pregnant passenger near me were struggling. I personally felt dizzy, had difficulty breathing, and sensed something was seriously wrong. Later, the pilot announced that they were aware of the issue, which was very alarming for us. Eventually, oxygen masks were deployed, and passengers began praying as turbulence added to the fear. It was one of the most terrifying moments of my life..I couldn’t stop shaking and could only think about my child. The plane made an emergency landing in Iloilo. After landing, I was still dizzy, shaking, and had a severe headache and ear pain. I even needed assistance just to get out of my seat. Thankfully, airport staff helped me recover. We waited for hours before being informed that we would be rebooked the next day. The airline provided snacks, water, and a hotel stay, but the experience was deeply traumatic.
