After watching the trial, as a divorced mom of 4 children, raising them alone .. had postpartum.. I cant empathize with Lindsay Clancy. Andrea Yates was in psychosis not Lindsay. Andrea Yates attempted suicide 5 times, heard voices every single day . She doesn’t want to leave the mental hospital. I hope this 3 little babies get the Justice they deserve . Lindsay is a Monster .

They act as if empathy means we’re in favor of children being murdered. It doesn’t. We’re in favor of acknowledging the catastrophic failures in care and support, and understanding the severity of the psychosis she was experiencing. The terrifying truth is that it could have been any one of us!!!!!!!!!

I’m 40 years old my dream was to be a mother. At 34 I had a very hard mental health crisis. I don’t have a village.i decided not to be a mom. The grief I sit with everyday is so overwhelming and can really be isolating. I’m too self aware to have a baby. Postpartum would take me.

When women give birth they shouldn’t go to a hospital. They should go to a retreat staffed with doctors , nurses, Nannie’s , other new moms and they should stay there for 2 months and learn how to care for the baby and have support from other new moms and professionals who can keep tabs on them and the health of the baby. So they can focus on nothing but their health and the baby’s health and not just go back work and normal life.
