Thats what basically made chamillionaire who he is today some ppl say. He sued an executive or something like that. Won big. Got out the game learned to multiply his money, invests, etc. and is very successful financially. But he had that 1 hit and seen what he seen and got up out of there.

I got cast on my very first audition for a multi-show deal on a kids network at 18. Once I realized the producer/show runner required me to move into his pool house as ‘artist housing’ paid for by the studio I said no. They also had a 👃 job & orthodontia lined up coming out of my paycheck. They were paying themselves to exploit me. There were a number of ‘investor networking events’ I was required to show up to a month. Yup, yachting. They specifically asked how I felt about boat’s & appearances in a 👙 . I was on the diving team but I get seasick. I didn’t know what yachting was but my cousins other uncle did. So did the other actors my mom asked (there were a lot of background actors/stand-ins at her government job).

Also a lot of one hit wonders still tour at small venues. They genuinely love making music and do it at a level that is normal and have a decent enough fan base to make a living doing it.
