You never think you’ll fall for it, until it’s so targeted for something that’s so specific to your life.

Everyone is susceptible for scams. It just has to be timed well and anyone can fall for many of them

Also look at the fonts! When you press the website, it’s extremely rare to see Serif fonts on buttons like that - us creatives stay way clear because it looks soooo scammy!

That's a much more elaborate a scam than pasting dodgy QR codes over parking signs and on meters. 🫣

You can also get a scam text that says you have an outstanding parking balance! So keep an eye out for that too

I hate the parking apps, don’t understand why there is a different app for every car park too. Also you SHOULDNT need an app for a carpark why is there not a different way of doing it

I got this text too. Luckily I saw the 07 number and immediately clocked it. The link also looked dodgy. These people have no shame man.

I usually watch these videos and think “it’s so obvious” but I actually think I’d fall for this especially if I was busy 😭 thank you

Why can’t parking machines just have card machines on them

Top tip - Always look at website names. The website on that email is not correct. It has to be whatever.com no extras, no /com or /co.uk as that’s diverting you away to a different site that is mimicking the real one.

if you actually put your debit card info in there, even if they say it didn't work, still cancel that card and call the bank, it probably said it didn't work so you would give them more cards

1. should have checked bank transactions first to see if the payment had come out 2. should have checked the app or called up the company to confirm 3. as soon as it said to only use a credit card, for a parking app??? big massive alarms should have been going off.

My legit RingGo confirmation texts come from an 07 number. I NEARLY fell for this one when I received it! It’s only because I received just a text and not an email as well that I caught on!
