How can I be who I wanna be when every decision I make is based on others’s opinion of me, it’s like I’m not living for myself anymore, and when I step out of that bubble and do my own thing, all of a sudden I’m looked at and perceived differently and feel like people take me less seriously or look at me as a joke or dumb, idk, instead I look at the public’s expectations, not too loud not too quiet, funny, doesn’t get mad easily, fits in with everyone, and I fulfil every role and requirement expected from me to my best ability. I think I’m working up to everyone’s standards but instead I’m putting on a mask that only breaks me from the inside every passing moment. At some point… my whole life became an act and it’s what I’m best at now

this can be looked at in a christian perspective too, because all of these things of earth (prizes & possessions) aren’t going to matter when you die. the only thing left you’re going to have is your soul. so we have to make sure our soul is right with the Lord, by having our own relationship with him. That’s how we can make into Heaven, not just by going to church or being a “good person” or even just believing. It’s literally an everyday walk but the reward is so rewarding and is going to be worth it most definitely. This video is so true though, i wish more knew this & thought about this.
