I’ve done this and I got so lucky my table was so incredibly nice about it. I was so scared I was getting fired that night. I literally went in the to go room and cried after they left.

We did the opposite. My friend and I were so busy chatting we didn’t understand when our waitress apologized for the wait. We just laughed and told her we were fine. She was lovely.

This happened to some friends and me years ago. She forgot our order and the table next to us. We jokingly said we’d forgive her for extra chicken strips. (She brought out a giant basket of them.) The table next to us threw a bigger fit than the lady in the skit. So we ended up tipping her 100% because we knew they weren’t gonna give her anyyyyything.

I literally (and needlessly, thank God) told my fiance, at the start of our relationship, that if he ever treated ANY worker poorly and I saw it happen or caught wind of it (I'm also in hospitality), it would be an instant break up. Thank God he had manners even before we started dating, because this type of behavior is an absolute no go for me
