I feel the exact same!! My mum is Jamaican. Dad is Iranian. Both reverts. Met in tooting. Did hijrah to Saudi, came back to London. When people ask if I have cultural traditions I just stare with a ๐ถ . LikeโฆIโm just Muslim alhamdullilah ๐

This is so refreshing! Same predicament, Struggled for years, being Bangladeshi and Jamaican. Iโve just shifted my identity to being Muslim, our religion is complete Alhamdullilah, so try I find fulfilment in that.

im in same boat. but my dad was born in Jamaica. and a feel constable on Jamaica side.. Pakistanis have never excepted me, im blasian not mixed race..

Literally me. My mums Kenyan Indian, my dadโs side Jamaican and English. I fit in now where. I donโt have a culture. Trying to create my own for my kids cus their dads Yemeni and so they enjoy that side but I need to include my own stuff too.

That is hard. I guess that is the beauty of being a mixed muslim you put islam first. some of us mix culture with islam. I would say embrace both. both cultures are beautiful and maybe take time to learn both and travel to the countries

can relate! i would say iโm stronger in my algerian identity only because i lived there for a few years but there are a lot of things i donโt fit in with or reject as cultural norms. in a way i love being my own self and i get tired of explaining how i am ๐คฃ

But the beautiful thing is you have 2 cultures and you donโt need to pick or fit in to just one because youโre mixed. Itโs a blend of merging cultures and being proud of both.
