@reallyrichards: So… we did a thing. After spending some time on the road, we realized pretty quickly that we learned A LOT about how we actually like to travel. And while our Cyclone 4008 was an absolute BEAST and treated us well, we also discovered a few things we wanted to change to make RV life easier, more comfortable, and better suited to us. So… we traded it in. 😳 Here’s why: 1️⃣ We’re “let’s just go” people. We don’t love planning trips months in advance. We like being able to wake up and say, “Where are we going next?” 😂 At 47.5 feet long and 13.8 feet tall, the Cyclone required a LOT more planning. We had to make sure parks could accommodate us, check layouts, pull up Google satellite views… basically do a whole research project before booking. Going smaller means more flexibility and more parks to choose from. 2️⃣ The cabinets were built for giants! I LOVED the interior colors of the Cyclone (and that exterior paint job 😍), but those cabinets?! Lance and I are short. Like… step stool every five minutes short. 😂 The Brinkley cabinets? WE CAN REACH THEM. 🙌 And honestly, it’s the little things. 3️⃣ The outdoor kitchen situation. 🍔 Lance LOVES cooking outside, but the Cyclone’s awning didn’t cover the grill. Which meant… no outdoor cooking when it rained. And if you RV, you know it’s going to rain the second you decide to cook outside. 😂 4️⃣ We thought we were toy hauler people. Turns out… maybe not. We thought we would absolutely LOVE having a toy hauler and use the garage all the time. But our son didn’t love that on travel days, his room became pretty inaccessible once the dirt bikes were loaded. He LOVES having his own mid-bunk room in the Brinkley—and honestly, so do we. 5️⃣ SUSPENSION. 🙌 We were actually planning to add suspension upgrades to the Cyclone… But the Brinkley already has it. And then we switched from our Anderson hitch to the Gen-Y with the Brinkley. WHAT. A. DIFFERENCE. 🤯 The ride is SO much better. 6️⃣ We needed more kitchen space. 🍳 The Cyclone kitchen was a one-person kitchen. Which became especially hilarious because Lance frequently used it as his standing office desk. 🤦‍♀️😂 We needed more room to actually cook, move around, and function together. So here we are… New RV. New chapter. Same crazy RV life. ❤️ Follow along because we’re going to share what we LOVE, what we don’t! #RVLife #RVLiving #RVFamily #RVUpgrade #FifthWheel

That’s the floorplan I’ve been wanting for a while now. Can’t wait to get one. How does the Chevy do with it? Will need to upgrade my truck to tow it and considering a high country dually. I’ve heard the turning radius isn’t great.

O I love this for you! We upgraded our old 5th wheel for a bigger and better 1 a couple years ago. It’s my dream camper. Our next camper will be the 1 we use when we retire.
