@thesameerproject: We were lucky to have our little helpers at Ansar 5 Camp help round up the other children and adults for a free haircut!! A simple moment of normalcy, dignity, and care in the middle of everything they are enduring. On July 27, The Sameer Project’s Mobile Barbershop in Gaza City provided free haircuts to approximately 150 children for just $186 after 11% commission fees to send money via bank transfers into Gaza. These initiatives may be low-cost, but their impact is enormous. A fresh haircut can restore a sense of dignity, cleanliness, confidence, and normalcy - especially for children living through displacement. Right now, even programs this affordable are on hold because of the decline in funding. Just $186 helped us care for around 150 children…not even $1.25 each.
