Just finished this today. I can’t express how much I loved it. It’s so beautifully written in its description of the landscape and the character development. I don’t think I’ll ever get over it.

I had to read this in my public high school along with the book of Genesis. I don’t know why this isn’t required reading in every high school. It’s one of the best books ever written and incredibly easy to read. Everyone loved it. I’m currently rereading it.

I just finished the book, I absolutely loved Cal’s character. You could see both his mother and father in his actions and thoughts as he grew up. I also loved Lee and his addition to the family. Although I thought it was interesting that he gave up on his dream so quickly. I guess it shows that we’re all flawed and scared in a way. It was a great book!
