These are those asshole spiders that fly on a web string and build webs wherever they land. They’re invading my backyard. I’ve sprayed pesticides multiple times but they just drink it like it’s a pre workout smoothie.

Common Fluffy White Plants Found in San Antonio Roadsides
1. Old Man's Beard (Clematis drummondii)
What it is: A native Texas climbing vine that often scrambles over fences, trees, and roadside brush.
Why it looks fluffy: The cloud-like, woolly puffs appear in late summer and fall. They are actually the long, silky, feathery tails attached to the plant's seeds, which help them fly away in the wind.
2. Smoke Bush or Smoke Tree (Cotinus)
What it is: A hardy, woody shrub or small tree.
Why it looks fluffy: After its tiny flowers bloom and fade, the flower stalks turn into long, wispy, feathery hairs. This creates a distinct, smoky haze that looks like large, floating puffs of tan or white cotton candy.
