@kyserblade68: A special judge — acting as a clerk and master — has rejected most of Christa Gail Pike's challenges to the way she is to be put to death on Sept. 30. The only woman on Tennessee's death row has been in court in Knox County most of last week, challenging the state’s lethal injection method and protocol for the final hours of her life. Pike's legal team has been arguing that she has a blood condition which would cause unconstitutional suffering. Senior Judge Mark Ward said, in a report obtained by WBIR on Friday, Pike's condition would not get in the way of starting an IV. Furthermore, once the lethal drug is given, experts said she will lose consciousness in 20 to 30 seconds — well before she could feel any pain. #pike #execution #justice #fyp #trending
