I see you always say baby goes to breast for comfort and other reasons and my baby does that but then she pukes because she had just ate an hour ago or so.Then i try to give her a pacifier instead and she doesn't want that she gags.

Im a first time mom that has no one around to guide me through breastfeeding. You have no idea how much you’ve helped me during my daughter’s 2 months of life. Thank you so much. I live somewhere where they say that babies going to breast for comfort is wrong and we shouldn’t let them (got yelled at by a nurse less than 24hs post partum because I let my baby nurse to sleep) so I went home and wouldn’t let her nurse to sleep. Drove us crazy. I looked for advice elsewhere and found you. You’ve helped me through clusters feeds, grounding my baby to one breast and so much more. She’s a smiley baby now!

What about a baby that appears to be cluster feeding but then projectile vomits after a few feeds in a row. It’s only happened twice. He’s rooting, fussy and seems hungry but I’m worried I’m overfeeding him. I always only offer one side per feeding. Am I mistaking his hungry cues for tiredness? I also think sometimes he just wants to comfort nurse but he’s always swallowing?

What is your opinion on combi feeding? I’ve recently started giving a couple bottles of formula in the day along with breastfeeding.

Hi! My daughter was born weighing 4.4 lbs and is now 2 months old and weighs 8.8 lbs . She’s been exclusively breastfed and is gaining weight, but whenever I pump, I get almost nothing way less than 0.3 oz (10 mL). I’ve tried different flange sizes and several high-quality pumps with no improvement. She nurses very frequently, usually every 2 hours or less, and cries a lot, so seeing almost nothing when I pump gives me so much anxiety and sometimes even triggers panic attacks. Could she really be getting enough milk from me even though I can barely pump anything?

I have a question I breast feed and I pump but im beginning to pump and bottle feed more and I’m trying to up my supply so I’m pumping every 2-3 hours but I don’t pump enough to keep up with her eating to completely bottle feed which means I’m also not building a freezer stash yet she is 3 weeks old how important is a freezer stash and how should I go about building a stash

Off topic but what to do when baby doesn't take bottle? She's 16 weeks and I've tried guoicola, evenflo wide neck, and pigeon bottles. She'd rather go to sleep hungry than drink from the bottle. I started pumping to be able to run errands and go to appointments without baby.

So follow up question…is it normal for your baby to not cluster feed? My baby is 3 weeks old and I feel like she doesn’t cluster feed. She’s probably done it twice but that’s it. She way past birth weight(5lbs 12oz) at almost 8pounds. But I feel like should she be cluster feeding at this age?

When my baby cluster feeds or does short feedings should I offer her the other breast the next feed or give her the same since she didn’t eat a lot? I have a 3w old and sometimes she only will eat a few minutes and I don’t wanna drop my supply or get a clog duct because I’m offering her the same breast too much or it’s not empting enough

Nicki, I’m not sure if you’ve done videos on this before but do you have any info/advice on becoming and IBCLC as a full career change (aka, not already a nurse or in the medical field). Sincerely, a teacher who has found a true passion in breastfeeding and helping others breastfeed 😩

How do we know if it’s cluster feeding versus snacking? And is there a difference? (Baby is 7 weeks and will feed sometimes for 5-7 minutes and then fall asleep, every 90 minutes)

Ok tell me one thing I will never bug you again,, I have 2.5 weeks in my lap right now,,, she sleeps after 4-5 minutes every feed and sometimes let’s say even she’s full she can take a nap of 3 or 3 an half hours, after 2nd week I don’t wake her up Ilet her wake on her own, since the feed is never fully out of my breast, will I get mastitis ? Or chances of lower supply sooner? Btw you are my babys god mom

Do you find that baby arching and crying st the breast is typically due to reflux? Little man latched perfectly until 3 weeks old, and got very fussy at the breast. He’s 6 weeks now and still very fussy. He will latch and unlatch and eventually just cry:( I’ve tried different nursing positions, helping with my OALD, but he seems to just prefer a bottle these days!!
