Pregablin helped me with chronic pelvic pain but it made my migraines and chronic fatigue even worse! I was dizzy and loopy on it and that was with only 50mg a day. Everyone’s experience is different but I had to stop after 2 months

Neither do anything for me. I love it. They tried it for anxiety, sleep issues, and fibro. Nothing. Max dosage for each. I don’t know what else to do. Hydroxyzine doesn’t work for anything, either.

I’m currently taking 900mg of Gabapentin for pain relief. Dose Pregabalin, work on pain aswell as anxiety/depression ? I’m also taking Amitriptyline at the maximum dose for both pain and depression and would prefer a single medication. Instead of a thousand pills

Gabapentin is handed out like candy these days. It kicked me into an intense manic phase, probably one of the worst I’ve ever experienced. to be fair to my psych that was before I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Also gave me really bad cognitive issues I forgot words so badly i had trouble talking sometimes

I have never seen Gabapentin work in any patient I had with a diagnosis of anxiety. In fact about 1/4 of my patients had an increase in thoughts of self harm and explosive episodes.

A THOUSAND TIMES THIS! Doctors ASSUME pregabalin is "useless" and "might as well prescribe gabapentin, it's less paperwork", but in my state it is EQUAL PAPERWORK! We scheduled gabapentin at the state level! Your LAZY reason isn't even valid, and I've heard it repeatedly. 😭

I’ve been on both of them for neuropathic pain and it REALLY messed with my memory / cognitive ability at work. I’ve heard that there are some large studies talking about increased dementia risk. Any thoughts on that?
