@catrin 🧚🏻: Trails of blood all over the apartment leading to her dead body, wrapped in a rug in the bathtub and their immediate focus is "she's a drug user, right?" as if 1) she OD'd despite the clear signs of foul play OR 2) she was a junkie so it doesn't really matter. What always gets me is the deep compassion ppl have when a celebrity dies due to drug use, ppl are devastated and immediately start talking about how sad it is, how the circumstances of their life or past/ongoing trauma was a valid reason for them abusing drugs, saying they clearly didn't get the help they needed or how low they must have been feeling to end up a drug addict. But when it's a normal person who ends up dying people have nothing but judgement, absolutely zero empathy and even say "another junkie dead who cares/the world is a better place without them", and somehow can't seem to imagine that person may have been living with trauma or suffering in ways most people can't imagine. Or that they have loved ones (like THIS father) who are devastated, who feel they failed,and who may never recover from such a loss. Amy Winehouse was an absolute disaster - her life was a mess, her relationship was abusive and toxic, and her life continued going downhill as she was struggling to manage her addiction and get clean. People continue to have sympathy for her and view her life & it's ending to be an absolute tragedy. If she hadn't had the talent she did and hadn't been famous, people would judge her for her poor choices,blame her for the situations she was in and see her life for the dumpster fire it was. Instead, people feel for her, blame others for "failing" her and still cry over her death or while they listen to her songs. Addiction can affect anyone,and most don't end up in a sad & unmanageable place bc they're having a great time. It's just so horribly sad to me that people only about a dead addict when they're famous.and with this case, despite the evidence they're trampling all over, the police want to find a way to dismiss a brutal murder because she's an addict. Truly infuriating.

Please don’t speak on things you don’t know about. He wasn’t “making drugs disappear” or cutting anyone a break. He didn’t have probable cause to arrest anyone - so he took the drugs to be disposed of. The rest is just careless.
