On April 27, 2025, Doja finalised the song with a new version, and renamed it to "Baby Freeze". On September 26, 2025, a clip of the song's recording session was previewed on track 19 of the Vie (Paris Edition), an exclusive version of the album on Apple Music. It was publicly unknown at this time what the song was. On September 27, 2025, a day after the release of Vie, a demo tracklist was shared by an unknown source. This track list shows some released and unreleased songs shared from previous demo tracklists. Alongside this were a few never-before-seen unreleased titles, revealing “Baby Freeze” for the first time. On June 23, 2026, a watermarked snippet of the demo version was leaked in a batch of other unreleased snippets from Vie and Scarlet. An extended snippet was leaked later that day.
