I never thought I’d be posting something like this, but I am completely at my end and desperate for advice. Every single time I set a simple boundary or tell my 10-year-old daughter "no," her reaction goes straight to physical disrespect. ​She gets furious, stands right in front of me, and spits directly in my face. After that, she storms into my room and completely tears through my closet, throwing my clothes everywhere and destroying my things just to hurt me. ​I’ve tried sitting her down to talk calmly, sending her to her room, and taking away privileges, but nothing works. It feels like the anger inside her is way bigger than standard 10-year-old behavior. Some people tell me it’s just a spoiled phase she’ll grow out of, while others are telling me this is a deep behavioral issue that requires professional help. I feel exhausted, embarrassed, and heart-broken in my own home. ​Has anyone else dealt with extreme disrespect like this?
