@tydyeexotics: Emperor Scorpions are a perfect example of why you shouldn’t always judge an animal by how intimidating it looks. Pandinus imperator – Emperor Scorpion comes equipped with massive claws, a glossy black body, and an overall appearance that says “choose your next move carefully.” In reality, they’re generally known for being pretty docile and laid-back. They’re also hardy and relatively straightforward to care for, which is one reason they’ve remained such a favorite in the hobby. They can be a great introduction to scorpion keeping for beginners while still being an impressive species that experienced keepers appreciate. Of course, they’re still scorpions and deserve the same respect as any other animal, but Emperors tend to rely heavily on those impressive claws rather than their stinger when defending themselves. Big, beautiful, surprisingly chill, and just intimidating enough to impress anyone who sees one—it’s easy to understand why Emperor Scorpions are considered a hobby classic. #tydyeexotics #emperorscorpion #scorpion #arachnid #spookyseason
