I don’t know what I’m doing wrong with the tdee calculator. To be more accurate I calculated my body fat % by measuring my neck, hips and waist. When I first started this journey 2 months ago my body fat % was 39.4% it’s now 37% and I’ve lost 11.5lbs when I put my new weight & body fat percentage it’s saying I can eat more calories? But that doesn’t make sense😅 if I’m losing weight shouldnt I be eating less and less calories? 😭 for example I’ve been eating 1,994 calories that’s 500 less than my maintence but my new calculation says I can eat 2,028 calories….

Thanks to your advice I've eaten at maintanance for the first time in my life. Years of weightloss and you hit it right on the spot. The moment all plans went to shit we're always when i went 1 day over my calories, I'd give up or overcorrect drastically by cutting the next day. Now i eat at maintanance that day or week and pick it back up from there. I'm so thankful💕 such a great mindset switch

So let’s say I go to the gym but skip some of the workouts I don’t have the energy for but do the rest.. that counts?

I absolutely love this this is great advice! my mindset used to be all or nothing in trying to complete the bigger goal if I couldnt do 100% I wouldn't bother but now I do the smaller goals consistently and still have my successes and realized its not so much about the intensity its about consistency💯💯

One of the biggest things that help me is prepping my breakfast and lunch the night before so I can throw it in my lunchbox in the morning for work. But I’ve also had to learn that if I don’t have the motivation to fully make food the night before it’s okay to redistribute the food I had planned for the day to accommodate. Maybe I pack a smaller portion of what I planned for dinner cuz it’s already made and have the salad with the rest of the dinner that night. Maybe breakfast is a piece of fruit and a protein shake and I take an earlier lunch then have my yogurt bowl as a snack when I get home. Whatever is going to get food in my belly without causing me to say “F this it’s to much effort” and order out instead

This is so true. I normally have 2 30min workouts, a strength building and a cardio. I plan for those 6 days a week ( just cardio day 7) but as long as I get the strength in 3 days a week I am happy. Most weeks I get it all in but life happens. Next week I might miss my strength or cardio training Monday because I have appointments but I will get something done, that is ok. It is what I do most of the time that counts. I will just add some dancing in when I am standing around waiting for things...lol.

I found your content 3 months ago and I've lost 15 lbs! your content is literally life changing. I don't lose any weight for 3 weeks a month and then when I get my period I lose 5 lbs in one week. frustrating for 3 weeks of the month but the ROP is good.

I walk 10k steps 4 days a week and pilates once a week. I try to give myself two rest days aside from the Pilates ❤️

My own goal is 30+ minutes every day or walking 2 miles no matter how long it takes because if I don’t build it in like daily hygiene I will start negotiating and putting it off, but if the day gets away from me every now and then it doesn’t feel like a big deal because I know I already over planned.

THIS whith some of my clients we start from 5min a day…the biggest problem is habit of spiraling after one I mean ONE bad day….and then torpedo next two weeks because of that ONE DAY 🤦♀️

I dont have exactly an all or nothing mentality but I'm focus so hard because I hit the 'trigger' that made me change a lot in my life. My expectation are not in weight but in what i look like. max 3xa week: gym then the 3 others days I do 10 to 15k. Lowest: 3x a week gym and I walk in the forest. I dont know if it will be the same in 3 months but hey, im trying 😅

100% but it takes a long time to figure things out. I had all or nothing mindset and it took me 9 months to figure out what works for me. I lost 30 pounds in 8 months. Now I eat at 1400 calories everyday which is 400 calorie deficit for me, and during my period I add in my snickers chocolate bar 240 calories and then build my calories for the day around that keeping protein at 90 grams. This helps me to not binge during my period and I am still at 1400 calories and losing weight. But it took 9 months to understand 🥰

Such great advice! As a recovering perfectionist, I've had to learn do what you can no matter how small. A win is a win even if its not perfect.

I have to make myself just do it even when I don't feel like it. It sucks sometimes but it is better than falling short.

after coming off chemotherapy, I easily lost 20 of the 30 lbs I gained from being sick. just from being able to move and be active and no longer being on steroids. I tried to go for a deficit bc I really wanted to drop those last 10 lbs. but I just wasn't all the way better yet and hunger= weakness = not recovering. however what I was able to do was not just say fuck it and for the first time in my life I tracked to stay at maintenance. before this it was either cut or free for all.
after 8 or 9 months of staying at exactly the same weight, I was finally well enough to "start on Monday" lol and have lost 6 of those 10 lbs. but oh my God it's still so hard 🥺 so hungry all the time. tiny people don't get any calories 😭

Big on prep work when I have the mental capacity step count is well whatever my knees allow without severe pain currently but I swim the days walking challenging which helps about mid way through a holiday where maintenance was the goal but mind is so hyperfixated i probably ate too little and pushed my knees to far with minimum 8000 steps the past three days today is travel so it’s lighter but my meals are lighter as well because I’m not doing as much
