I dont know for a 100% fact, but I think the only reason it isnt gone is because the last 3 big stores on the outside have the rights to their parts buildings and wont give them up so the mall owner is just letting it rot until they do. You see Burlington left and nothing opened.

retirement center! make ‘apartments’, make the bigger stores a town center with hair stylist, gym, small stores, etc. food court as cafeteria with different options. central open area for big events like concerts etc

The reason there are not more stays there is because the owners that took over raised the rent so high that no one really wanted to pay it so when their rental agreement was done they left
