Accountants can’t help you regardless how experienced they are, people need to get together and hire tax lawyers. CRA doesn’t make laws correct but they suspect you of wrongdoing and now it’s your job to prove them wrong, don’t get confused CRA has lot of authority and it’s individuals job to prove that he followed law and filed accordingly. CRA won’t reply much to you but a tax lawyer can drag them in court where they have to answer and hopefully come to negotiation table , tax lawyers are expensive maybe more than you owe to CRA that’s why people need to get together. Unfortunately lot of people were bragging about trucking industry and how they make money and file everything as business expenses CRA keep a close eye on everything and now truckers are red flagged , taxi industry is on their target from a long time just because private companies don’t have to share record and cash involved they couldn’t do much but never think they don’t know.

CRA does makes alot of wrong assessments. Most of them they do when the incorporation owner doesn’t file returns properly. You have to be careful about filling your HST, Annual, Payroll returns. If not CRA would calculate according to your previous assessments. So file them on time and explain with proper documentation if they send you wrong assessments
