My perspective on Bael is more psychological than literal. I don’t necessarily see him as an external entity that is helping people. I see Bael as an archetypal symbol within the unconscious—representing things like power, sovereignty, instinct, confidence, and the shadow aspects of ourselves. So when someone says, “Bael helped me,” I don’t think they’re necessarily lying or imagining the experience. The experience can be very real to them. I just interpret what happened differently. Through connecting with that archetype, they may have brought out qualities within themselves that were already there but unconscious or underdeveloped. In that sense, Bael doesn’t have to give someone power. The symbol can help them access their own power. That’s how I tend to look at these entities: not necessarily as something outside of us, but as symbolic forms through which the unconscious communicates and transformation takes place. Whether someone believes there’s an actual spiritual intelligence behind the archetype is a separate question.
