For those who are not familiar with him, this is Volodymyr Petrov, a vocal supporter of mobilization in Ukraine. Despite his repeated controversial statements, he continues to appear on television and social media and openly advocate ideas that involve coercion, lawlessness and violations of Ukrainians’ rights. In this video, he talks about Ukrainians who have left the country and says they should be forced to return: «“...so that they would be like this, on a leash, on a chain…”» He then describes them being made to walk back in convoys from Europe to Ukraine. This is not a metaphor about freedom. He is literally talking about people as if they were animals that should be kept on a leash and forced back home.
