I gave up halfway many times, thinking dental supplements would be enough to prevent tartar. Early vet visits only showed mild plaque, and I foolishly thought the problem would not worsen quickly. As time passed, tartar hardened and irritated his gums nonstop. He lost interest in meals, pawed frantically at his mouth, and cried quietly through sleepless nights. I booked anesthetic scaling in a panic, yet his aging organs could not withstand the anesthesia. He passed on the exam table. I ignored warnings about senior pet dental risks and waited too long to act. Regret weighs heavily on my heart. My sweet baby, I am so sorry you lived with constant toothache.
