Don’t cry for me… I’ll be okay. ❤️ Well, today wasn’t the news I was hoping for. The cancer has returned to my rectum, and it has spread to my liver. Well, it wasn’t the news I was hoping for. The biopsies from my rectum have confirmed cancer cells, and the scans have shown an area on my liver that is now their main concern. The plan from here is: • A PET scan within the next couple of weeks. • An appointment with a liver surgeon in around 3–4 weeks. • Liver surgery, followed by approximately 1–2 months of recovery. • Once I’ve recovered, I’ll have further scans and a colonoscopy before discussing the next stage of treatment and surgery for my rectum. It all feels much more urgent this time, which is naturally concerning. But one thing I am grateful for is that I listened to my body. I knew something had changed, I made the call, and it’s being dealt with. This isn’t the news I wanted, or honestly expected to hear, but it’s now my reality. I can’t change today’s news, but I can choose how I respond to it. I’ll keep putting one foot in front of the other, and for me, that means trusting in the Lord to walk this journey with me. I’m not looking for sympathy, and please don’t cry for me. I have another battle to fight, and with God’s help, the support of my family and friends, and the incredible NHS, I intend to fight it with everything I’ve got. Thank you all for your prayers, your positivity and your encouragement. They mean more than you’ll ever know. For now Prayers and positive energy ONLY. ❤️🙏🏽 #CancerJourney #FaithOverFear #OneStepAtATime #Hope #TrustGod
