I think it’s really important to clarify that this type of AI is highly specialized, trained on specific data for a specific use and is very different from the LLM chatbot AIs that are more prevalent in the news because people have very strong feelings about each of those things and they are different enough to be almost unrelated. A ‘93 Toyota Camry and a Boeing 747 are both ‘vehicles’ in a broad sense, but no one would rightly compare them as equals.
