When I was in high school and I got a part-time job, my mother charged me rent at first. I was angry and I said why are you charging me rent when your man doesn’t even pay rent she said you’ll thank me later and honestly was one of the best things she ever taught me.

dad wrong that's a asshole move this is not teaching the child responsibility this teaching hee how to hate your ass. My mother and father didn't do me order my brother like this just dump mess on us soon as we get out of high school. I worked 2 job's save my money like I was asking to 8 months later I had my on place. they never ask for a penny, when I get pay I walk in trying to give money they tell me no I leave it on the table one of them pick it up save it without me knowing it so when I need something for my apartment they get it with the money I was giving them. This dad is wrong on all levels again his not teaching her nothing but how to hate him

If she’s a bum. Not working towards a future, ok. Get a job and contribute to the household. Now, if she’s in school n has a job n is trying to live int imes that even most adults need two jobs just to pay rent. Honestly, how much you notice that a lot of these younger kids aren’t having kids in the 20s and 30s because they can’t afford it. They can’t even basically afford their own life hood. How can they bring in their own kid? Times have changed inflation has gotten up and one job is actually nothing. You probably need three jobs just even rent at this point.
