Prepare to be sick of me 😂😂 • • • I have loveeeeeeeed being pregnant! • It’s been just as glorious as I’ve always envisioned it to be. 😍 I love knowing a baby is being grown from my body and my cells and what I’m putting into and on my body. I LOVE seeing the changes to my body taking place. I love talking to baby saggy every morning when I wake up. I love letting people touch my belly and show our baby love well before they arrive. • I’ve not had any morning sickness, aches or anxiety. *BUT* that’s not luck. I did the work for about 18 months leading up to trying to conceive to make sure my body was as ready and as stable and as strong as possible to make a baby and sustain a pregnancy. • I worked with a naturopath who specializes in hormones & pregnancy (@walkthenaturalpath), a chiropractor (@westwood_family_chiropractic), an acupuncturist (not on IG), a PFPT (@doc_jenmorgan ) and a mental health counselor! • I did blood tests. I did the DUTCH test. I changed my diet and lifestyle choices. I started to be intentional about my movement and strength building. I focused on fixing my menstrual cycle and getting my hormones to a place they should be. I reduced my cortisol substantially. I started saying no to things that didn’t serve me and bringing in things that did. • I felt guilty for a while for telling people that I was enjoying pregnancy and that I was having a really amazing first trimester and then my midwife asked me “why?” and she reminded me that I had done the work leading up to this point and it was okay for me to share how good I felt. So this is me sharing what once felt like a secret I needed to keep. I love being pregnant and I feel amazing. • I know that this could change and I’m prepared for hard days. I know that the end of pregnancy can be brutal and I’m prepared to tackle those challenges if they come my way. I feel confident in my body, in saggy baby and in the team of care providers I have hand picked to support me in this time. • • I’m not HeHe, I’m PREGNANT HEHE and I love her.💜 • • • #pregnantmom #pregnantmama #prenatalcare #laboranddelivery #birthtips
