Could’ve just pulled one bolt from motor mount and raised the motor alittle. Done it twice on my Monte Carlos with the same problem.

You skipped the part where you take the oil pan down and get all of the metal shavings out of the pan. Cool build, you just didn’t do it right. Enjoy that lifter material and betting itself and all your bearings.

I’ve seen a video on a guy saying you have to degree the cam when installing a new one to be sure its actually timed right, did you do that off camera or did you just go by the dot to dot on the timing gears? From what i understand it can be 1 tooth even when it seems to be dot to dot
