@maimoa.creative: I know this post might be controversial to some. I am very aware of the many different whakaaro about the meaning of broken pounamu and what should be done with it (I shared a whole blog post on it back in 2024). Personally, I believe it can carry on in a new form, and in this case, with it's unique imperfections highlighted to tell its story. I'm stoked with how it turned out. I ended up purchasing a kintsugi repair kit from Ema Frost to repair myself. Time will tell if my mahi holds up, but I think they are more beautiful than they were before 🥺 #kintsugi #brokenpounamu #taonga

before all the naysayers come in hot - the original break is being bridged by gold metal not the potential negative that it protected the barer. the pounamu had served it's purpose and now can exist as an adornment.
