The soft moonlight glowed on her skin. Minji smiled. “Everyone was—except you.” Hanni kept her guard up, silent. Minji chuckled, straightening her posture. “You're not as gullible as I thought. Perhaps we could be friends.” Hanni scoffed. “Friends? With a monster? No thanks.” Minji rolled her eyes, turning back towards the city view. “You'll realize you need me more than you think soon.” Hanni laughed. “Need you? Please, don't make me laugh.” Minji smiled—not offended at all, but genuinely entertained. “We'll see, Hanni.” ​Before Hanni could even respond, a cloud of black smoke sparked between them.
