Candace is tired :
Never ever ever use anything even slightly damp to take something out of the oven. The water will heat up super fast and give you a burn.

Gemma :
Whatever you do, do not ice your burns. Just run it under cool/room temp water and then immediately put some aloe on it

They make oven gloves and I highly recommend those - they go most of the way up my forearm and give me so much more dexterity

Whitney :
Put your fingers under running cool water until it stops stinging every time you pull it out. That's the best way to deal with burns. (look for oven mitts with silicone grippies in the fingers)

honestly I have the better homes and gardens ones from Walmart and I've held my Dutch oven for like 2 minutes straight with no issues, you can start to feel the warmth through it but never a burn type of heat

Don’t use super cold items on the burn. Running under cool water should give relief and not cause blisters. I’ve worked in kitchens for two decades.

Lodge makes some good to 500 degrees don’t forget cast iron holds heat hotter than your oven setting . (Some people don’t know this)
