Sorry. I would not want a nurse who is not sleeping. That’s a recipe for disaster. She LOOKS exhausted

Avoiding sleeping pills because they have the potential for dependency is wild. Sleep is the single most important thing for your brain health.

I have chronic insomnia for over 15 years now. From her story I am concerned for her patients. The forgetfulness, irritability, fatigue. Being in charge of administration of meds to a patient is not for the distracted and overtired mind.

"I don't know that's why I'm doing this study" sounds like the type of response I'd give in a cranky sleep deprived state 💔 poor thing

Sleep deprivation has the same effect on cognitive capacities as being drunk. I don’t think she should work until her sleep is figured out. From this clip it seems like she needs CBT-I because her mental view/attitude isn’t helping her sleep

Instead of treating this as a sleep issue, it sounds like she has OCD or some other anxiety disorder and perhaps those meds would help? A daily morning dose of anxiety meds would perhaps make her foggy during the day to start but it would clear up in a week or two and could help eliminate some of the noise. Doesn’t even have to be benzos, maybe an anti-depressant?

I had major insomnia until I was diagnosed with adhd and put on Ritalin. It’s actually the stimulants that regulate my sleep. If I miss a dose I’m up all night. This sounds counter intuitive but it’s how it goes for me.

ppl telling her to just take the meds anyways clearly have never suffered from insomnia like this,, its like going into a coma everytime u take sleeping pills… thats not actual rest thats just being knocked/ blacked out. pls use ur brains and stop telling ppl to just take medication when if they arent ok with the side effects

"It's lonely when everyone else is asleep" that's my favorite time of day😅 I can do whatever I want, say whatever I want, no one needs me, no errands/chores can be done etc Literally the best time of the day for me!

I have had severe insomnia since my late 20s. Dozens of drugs, and those which were most effective was trazodone, quetiapine, but the best of them all is lemborexant (Dayvigo). Quetiapine has the worst side effects which is weight gain/dyslipidemia.
