Bashir Khamis :
Kisinziira ku Imam ki gwogoberera oba gwokkiririzaamu. If you follow the Imam Shāfiʿī madhhab, there is an important distinction:
* Duʿā in ṣalāh is permitted, especially during sujūd and in the final sitting before salām.
* If you are able to make the duʿā in Arabic, you should use Arabic for duʿā within the prayer.
* If you cannot speak Arabic, the Shāfiʿī school has detailed rulings concerning non-Arabic supplication. In general, deliberately using a language other than Arabic when one is capable of Arabic can affect the validity of the prayer according to the stricter Shāfiʿī position.
* Therefore, the safest practice is to learn a number of authentic Arabic duʿās and use them in ṣalāh, while making your personal duʿā in your own language after completing the prayer.
