@curaskincareapp: 🧴 Jojoba oil + sebaceous filaments Sebaceous filaments are normal oil-filled structures inside pores, especially around the nose, chin and forehead. Jojoba oil is chemically similar to some of the skin’s natural sebum, so it can: * Soften the oil and keratin sitting in the pore * Reduce the feeling of rough, congested skin * Help prevent excessive stripping/drying, which can make pores look more noticeable * Work well as a cleansing oil to loosen surface sebum But importantly, jojoba oil doesn’t permanently remove sebaceous filaments. They’ll naturally refill. If your goal is actually to make them less visible For your oily/congested-pore concerns, I’d rank these higher: 1. Salicylic acid (BHA) → best for getting into the pore and breaking down oil 2. Adapalene → helps regulate cell turnover and prevent congestion 3. Jojoba oil → useful for softening/cleansing, but more of a supporting step You could use jojoba as an oil cleanse for 2–5 minutes, then wash it off with your normal cleanser. Don’t aggressively massage or squeeze the pores—the temporary “gunk coming out” isn’t worth the irritation. If you’re already using adapalene, I’d be particularly careful about adding lots of exfoliation on top of it. #skincare#jojobaoil#oilyglands#cura
