@abelsalla0: completely rotted out, the wooden handle was crumbling apart in my hands. Broke it down piece by piece, filed the blade back to a proper edge, then hand-carved a brand new handle from scratch since the original wood was beyond saving. Finished it off with fresh rivets, heated and hammered into place just like the original.
