✨ How to Layer Evening Anti-Aging Skincare ✨ -Cleanse: Always start here. I double-cleanse (balm → gentle cleanser) when I’m wearing tinted SPF, makeup, or BB cream. -Toner (optional): I like a hydrating or rice toner, but totally optional. -Peptide serum: Great for anti-aging. You can swap for hyaluronic acid (for plumping) or a brightening serum if you’re targeting pigmentation. -Moisturizer: I apply this before retinoids to buffer my skin and reduce irritation. -Retinoid: Pea-sized amount for the whole face. Start 2x/week and increase as tolerated. (Avoid retinoids during pregnancy.) -Retinal eye cream*: For eye serum/creams in general, use before moisturizer if lightweight; after moisturizer if richer. If the eye serum/cream has retinal/retinol then I would apply after moisturizer to minimize irritation.
