@channelnewsasia: Johor Bahru is preparing for more commuters when the RTS Link opens. But navigating the city centre on foot can still be a challenge. Pedestrians face busy roads and a cityscape largely designed around cars. Authorities are planning elevated walkways linking Bukit Chagar station to major destinations, including JB Sentral and Komtar JBCC. But urban planning experts say building new connections is only part of the solution — maintaining existing pedestrian spaces will also be key to making the city more walkable. #malaysia #malaysianews #RTS (Video: CNA/Zamzahuri Abas, Amir Yusof)

My real concern and big worry is what will happen if people travelling in there get knocked down by cars or pedestrians? Can die no problem. But if cannot then that is where hell starts to happen. It is always a big hassle for foreigners to get into accidents and unpleasant situations overseas. Cannot be like everytime buy travel insurance for a simple day trip etc. A lot of people won't do that.

crown jewel my foot!! those who are responsible in rts should have planned on building walkways and get it done ahead before the rts is ready. just wait and see what happens when the rts starts operating and for sure the roads will be jammed packed with vehicles. then someone will come out and say will do this do that to improve the situation😂

Talking ahead is kind of useless. We will see what it is like when the crowds spill onto the pavements and roads. I can already see what it is like over there already.

Very soon near completion only then Anthony Loke says he want to look at ART or bridge between RTS and ETS stations. If this is not poor planning I don’t know what it is.
